Ike & Court Jewelry is the fusion of two jewelry lines; Ike Designs by Dori Eisenhauer and Elements by Courtney Barbara. Founded in 2009, Ike & Court is a blend of expressive, whimsical, tiny adornment comprised of pearls and gemstones in silver, rose gold and yellow gold. Based entirely in Brooklyn, NY, Ike & Court design and create each piece in the tradition of true hands-on craftsmanship free from the modern look of manufactured design and mass production. Ike & Court's jewelry is simultaneously organic and romantic, edgy and vintage.
Dori Eisenhauer (Ike) and Courtney Barbara (Court) have worked in the jewelry design, production and craft business independently for the past 10 years. The union of their lines is a complementary blend of metalwork in silver and gold favoring tiny gemstones, bold lines, gentle beading and layering to create looks ranging from simple to textured. Valuing artisanship, gratitude, integrity, and service to their clients, Dori and Courtney aspire to adorn their wearers with beauty and sophistication.
Dori and Courtney have accomplished backgrounds in painting, photography and acting. Having worked as a professional actress for 10 years, Dori fell into jewelry design and craft when she was unable to find work in 1999. Courtney's jewelry career was a natural extension of artistic expression stemming from her accomplishments as a painter and photographer. Meeting in 2008 when they were introduced by a mutual friend, they quickly discovered a natural affinity and respect for each other's designs and work ethic and decided to join efforts, launching Ike & Court in the spring of 2009.
Their combined work over the past years for their independent jewelry lines and for other designers in New York City and Seattle, WA has landed their jewelry handicraft in Barney's NY, Nordstroms, Tiffany and Co., and Bergdorf Goodman. In addition, their past craftsmanship for other designers has graced celebrities including Nicole Kidman, Madonna, Courtney Love, and Gwyneth Paltrow.
